Junior section growing - help needed!

As you all maybe aware the junior section of the club has grown in size in the last few years and now it is at a crucial stage of its development.

We have grown from about 50 under 8s to under 14s, to 130 for this coming season and we are now really in the need of more coaches to help us to develop these players into potential players for the senior sides.

The senior sides are benefitting from juniors who have come through the junior system and over the next few years there will be an even greater number than before.

The real cause for concern is that we will have approximately 37 under 10s and 47 under 12s this season and they will only have Stuart Locke and Simon Honey as qualified coaches along with 3 parent helpers.

We really need help in these two age groups, and help from senior players would be gratefully received, whether this be on a regular basis or perhaps a few sessions over the season on Sunday mornings.

At the moment the junior section really could do with more female help as we are seriously lacking in this area and it is not fair to the girls to not have a female/s to approach if they need help.

We are will holding a junior section meeting on Monday 20th July at 8pm in the Bure Farm pub, and we would welcome anyone who wishes to find out more about what help we might need to come along. Alternatively if you cannot make it but would be willing to offer some help then please contact Simon at simonfoxcubs@sky.com

The club will continue to grow but it needs it members to help in the growth as both senior and junior sections are reliant on each other.

Simon Honey
