Ladies 3s Match Reports

 

 

Bicester L3's 3-0 Oxford L6's

 

The second game of the season saw Ladies 3's meet Oxford Ladies 6's at home. The game started out very evenly with Bicester gradually gaining control. the backs did a great job of repelling the Oxford attack and Julie Giles found the back of the net with a great lay off from Paige Jorda. Ten minutes later a second goal from Giles ended the first half 2- 0 up. 

 

The second half was more fiercely fought but a goal from Jorda ended the game with Bicester 3- 0 up and now second in the league they have just been promoted to. Man of the Match went to Fay Walters.

 

Bicester L3's 1-4 Oxford Hawks L6's  (Tryspots Three Counties Division 6) 21 March 2015

 

In their second to last game of the season, Bicester met Division leaders Hawks and after a very good, Bicester biased game had two goals scored against them at the end of the first half. Early in the second half, Julie Giles found the back of the goal from a great cross from Paige Jorda. Charlotte Chesworth-Wing also scored a great goal but the whistle awarding a Bicester free hit at the same time meant that this was sadly disallowed. In spite of several forays into the attacking goal, Bicester succumbed to Hawks with a 4-1 defeat. Dame of the Game went to Charlotte Chesworth-Wing with Suzy Elliott getting Captains Player.

 

Maidenhead 4s 4 -2 Bicester 3s (Tryspots Three Counties Division 6) 7 March 2015

 

The Bicester Ladies 3s team played away to Maidenhead 4s.  There was an early goal from Julie Giles to which Maidenhead responded quickly. Sam Scott scored her first goal for the club but Maidenhead proved to be too strong on the day with the final scoreline 4 - 2 to Maidenhead.

 

The team voted Ness Hughes as the Dame of the Game and Sam Scott was voted as Captain's player.

 

Buckingham L4's 0-1 Bicester L3's (Trysports Three Counties Division 6) 21 February 2015

 

Bicester Ladies 3s played Buckingham Ladies 4s. It was a hard fought game with both sides battling hard, it was a fast and even game. The backs and young goalkeeper Chloe Mays played magnificently, and in the second half the forwards finally had their efforts converted into a well-deserved goal from Paige Jorda and came away with a 1-0 win. Witth every single person putting in a huge effort, it was difficult to come up with a Dame of the Game, and eventually was divided between two mid-fielders, Ness Hughes and Libby Pitt and the Captain could't choose any one player who stood out as being singled out for Captain's player.

 

Bicester L3s 2-1 Thame L3s (Trysports Three Counties Division 6) 10 January 2015

 

Bicester Ladies 3s played their first game of the new year against Thame Ladies 3s. Bicester got off to a good start in the stinging rain and Emily Winks made a great pass into the D where Julie Giles finished with the shot into goal and put the team 1-0 up. This was followed with a great goal from a corner from captain, Louise Walker. Bicester. Thame managed to score, pulling back to 2 - 1 and in spite of many Bicester attacks on goal that was the final score.

 

Bicester L3's 5-2 Witney L3's (Trysports Three Counties Division 6) 8 November 2014

 

Bicester Ladies 3s continued their winning ways against Witney . The first half started quietly but after the first goal from Julie Giles off of a brat cross from Captain Louise Walker, she then scored for herself and the half finished with Bicester 2-0 up. Witney rallied in the second half and scored two goals but after several near misses, Louise Walker slammed in a great goal from a corner and Bicester's Sarah Husband scored her first ever goal in league hockey. Finally, a fantastic pass from Maddie Smith saw Julie Giles score her second goal of the game and a final score of 5-2. Dame of the game went to Maddie Smith and captains player to Sarah Husband.

 

Sonning L5's 0-2 Bicester L3's (Trysports Three Counties Division 6)

 

Bicester Ladies continued their winning streak with a 2-0 victory over Sonning this week. Bicester scored their first goal from a short corner where Ness Hughes tipped in a rebound shot. Ness was also voted Dame of the Game. The second goal came early in the second half from Nicolene Cameron. Another impressive attacking game from Bicester 3s who have found form this season.

 

Bicester L3's 1-0 Buckingham L4's (Trysports Three Counties Division 6) 18 October, 2014

 

Bicester Ladies 3s were back to their winning ways in this weeks game against Buckingham Ladies 4s with a final score of 1-0. The first half was evenly matched with Buckingham's defence managing to keep out the Bicester forwards attacks on goal.

 

During the second half, Bicester continued to push forward and finally Julie Giles scored the only goal of the game off a strong cross from Nicolene Cameron. Dame of the Game was awarded to an extremely hardworking back - Charlotte Chesworth-Wing and Captain's player was awarded to Ness Hughes who played exceptionally well in midfield.
